Current Activities:

We are seeking sponsors for next years Robot season.  In order to compete next year, we require approximately $15,000.  If you are interested in sponsoring our team through either cash donations or in-kind donations (food, work space, tools, etc...) please visit the Sponsors section of this website to find out how you may help us meet our goal.  The team is supported by the St. Tammany Parish School Board which is a non-profit organization under section (170) of the IRS code, making your donations tax deductible.

 

For the 2009 Robot Season we would like to thank the following sponsors for making our trip to the Bayou Regional and National Championships possible. 

Robot Camp:

Team 2992, Prometheus, is planning on holding a robot camp for middle schoolers this summer.  Information about this effort will be following later, stay tuned.

2009 National Championships

 

 

Team 2992 had a wonderful time at the National Championships in Atlanta.  We were members of the Curie division, for which we seeded 24th out of 87 teams with a win-loss record of 4 and 3.  It was an extremely tough competition, and although we were not chosen to join in the quarterfinals we learned a great deal. 

 

We would like to thank the sponsors, parents, mentors and teachers that made our trip to Atlanta possible.  We are looking forward to the 2010 competition.
